City Palace Udaipur: City Palace is one of the most important historical sites in Udaipur that is worth visiting. This magnificent palace overlooks the Lake Pichola. It is an impressive complex was initiated by Maharana Uday Singh and later on it was improved by his successors. The palace is a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture that makes it differentiated from the other palaces of Udaipur. The main entrance gate is known as Hati Pol or the Elephant gate which contains the Royal drums. The Ganesh Deori gate leads to the Rai Angan or Royal Courtyard on the east side of which is a jewel Room that is a major tourist attraction. The central pavilion the Choti Chitra Shali is enriched with brilliant blue mosaics. The imposing Jagdish Temple is situated just 400 m from city Palace is another center of tourist attraction on a monumental tour for Udaipur. Lake Palace Udaipur: Lake Palace situated amidst the Lake Pichola is a best example of Rajasthani architecture. It is the most romantic place on this earth. A photographer’s paradise these palaces offer the stunning views of scenic Pichola Lake to the onlookers. The palace was built by Jagat singh in 17th century. Sprawling across 4 acres is one of the most romantic places on this earth. The Palace situated amidst the scenic Pichola Lake offers a heavenly view to the onlooker. The imposing Aravalli Hills on one side and soaring palaces on the other, make the perfect background to this beautiful Lake Palace. Arises out of turquoise waters of the Pichola Lake it was earlier known as JagNiwas Palace. In 1959 Maharana Bhagwat Singh the owner of this palace has renovated this palace and converted it into a five star hotel with 80 rooms that offer world class services to its guests .
