| Nathdwara: On the banks of Banas River just North of Udaipur is situated a famous city Nathdwara. This holy city enshrines Shrinathji a 12th century infant incarnation of Lord Krishna. The idol was moved in the 17th century from Govardhan hill near Mathura to this place to protect it against the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The name Nathdwara means the “Gate of the Lord.”
Jagat: situated at a distance of 58 Km from Udaipur this splendid and well preserved temple is dedicated to Ambika Mata. Popularly known as Khajuraho of Rajasthan the temple is famous for its splendid intricate carvings on the walls. It is a worth visit place on a tour to Udaipur.
Jaisamand Lake: Built in 17th century A. D by Maharana Jai singh this artificaila lake is the second largest lake in Asia. This beautiful lake has summer palaces of Udaipur queens which are built on either side of the lake. Jaisamand Wildlife sanctuary is another worth visiting place on an excursion trip that allows a close encounter with the wild animals and is a home to the various migratory birds.
