| Rajsamand Lake: Situated at a distance of 66 Km from Udaipur on a way to Kumbhalgarh lies the magnificent Rajsamand Lake. This Royal Lake was built in 17th century by Rana Raj Singh across the Gomati, Kelwa and Tali Rivers. The lake has a Rest house of Irrigation department on the embankment below. The Kankroli town situated near by it has a marvelous temple and a pretty palace atop the hill that offers a spectacular view of the surroundings.
Haldighati: Situated at a distance of 40 Km from Udaipur towards the North lies the Haldighati. This is a historical site that witnesses a great battle fought between Maharan Pratap and Mughal emperor Akbar in 1576AD. The site is marked by a small chattri which honor the warrior’s horse Chetak. Although badly wounded and exhausted the horse carried Maharana Pratap to a safer place before dying. It is for this loyalty and courage that Chetak is honored.
