Maharana Pratap Memorial Udaipur: Maharana Pratap Memorial is a historic site dedicated to gallant Maharana Pratap. It is situated on the top of Moti Margi of Pearl hill overlooking the Fateh Sagar Lake. The memorial was constructed by the initiative taken by Maharana Bhagwat Singh of Mewar with the help of public trust. The main attraction of the memorial is a life sized bronze statue of Maharana Pratap and his loyal horse Chetak. People visit this memorial to pay their homage to their Rajput hero and his loyal horse Chetak. The place is a paradise for photographers. One can also visit nearby places like Japanese Rock Garden and remnants of the forts of Udaipur which are located nearby. This memorial is a must visit destination for visitors on a trip to Udaipur. Kumbhalgarh Fort Udaipur: Kumbhalgarh fort of Udaipur is named after Rana Kumbha. Constructed in 15th century this fort is situated at a distance of 64 Km North of Udaipur. This massive fortress is one of the most important forts in Chittorgarh, Mewar. Set in the wilderness of Aravali Ranges is the birthplace of one of the Mewar’s bravest worrier King Maharana Pratap. The Kumbhalgarh Fort is one of the most interesting tourist sites that you must visit during your tours to historical monuments in Udaipur, India. The fort remained unconquered till date because of its inaccessibility and hostile typography. The thick walls of the fort are wide enough for eight abreast horses. There are 365 temples and shrines inside the fort. This massive structure comprises a magnificent palace Badal Mahal. The fort was renovated by Maharana Fateh Singh and is called Kartargarh. A wild life sanctuary situated few miles away from the fort is also a major tourist attraction.
